Manchester United expected to be biggest earners in next year- Deloitte

Manchester United have dropped a place to third in the Deloitte rich list falling behind Real Madrid and Barcelona but the stats said the club could claim the no.1 position next year for the first time in more than a decade, according to the company.

Spanish giants, Real Madrid have topped Deloitte's Football Money League for the 11th consecutive year by generating 577m euro (£439m) in 2014-15.
Champions League winners Fc Barcelona are falling second with 560.8m euro (£426.6m) with Manchester United third on the 519.5m euro (£395.2m).
But the Old Trafford club's return to Europe's elite club competition and the impact of huge new Adidas sponsorship deal should see United take over the top spot next year from the Spanish giants for the first time since 2004.
Manchester United was the only club in the top 10 who did not participate in the Champions League previous season, a further indicator of the club’s financial strength.
Deloitte’s Tim Bridge said: “The fact Manchester United remain in the top three of the money league demonstrates the underlying strength of the club’s business model. The return to Champions League football, as well as the commencement of a number of significant commercial partnerships, will only strengthen the business in 2015-16."
